Once upon a time, in a cozy little house, there lived two cats named Whiskers and Mittens. Whiskers was an older cat, who had been around for many years and had seen a lot in his time. Mittens, on the other hand, was a younger cat and was still learning the ways of the world.
One day, while they were lounging in the sun, Whiskers turned to Mittens and said “I’ve noticed something strange happening with the mice around here. They seem to be behaving very differently than they used to. They’re not running as fast, and they seem to be, well, dazed.”
Mittens looked at Whiskers with confusion. “What do you mean, Whiskers? They’re just mice, what’s changed?”
Whiskers sighed and shook his head. “The new generations of mice are all junkies, Mittens. They’ve been getting into the catnip and it’s making them slow and lazy. It’s not like the good old days when mice were fast and full of fight.”
Mittens couldn’t believe what he was hearing. “But Whiskers, that’s terrible! What are we going to do about it?”
Whiskers just shrugged. “I guess we’ll just have to work less harder to catch them. But it’s a shame, really. The new mice are just not as fun to chase anymore.”
Mittens laughed. “Well, I guess we’ll just have to make the best of what we have”.
