Once upon a time, two worms, named Wriggle and Squirm, were having a chat about their daily lives. Wriggle said, “You know, Squirm, sometimes I feel like I’d like to try something new. I’ve been a worm for my entire life, and I’m getting a bit bored.”
Squirm replied, “I hear you, Wriggle. I’ve been feeling the same way. I’ve been thinking about changing my gender. Maybe being a female worm would be more exciting.”
Wriggle nodded, “That’s a great idea! I was thinking the same thing. Let’s do it!”
So, they set off on their journey to find a way to change their genders. They asked other creatures they encountered along the way, but no one could help them.
Finally, they came across an old wise snail who told them, “My dear worms, I’m afraid you cannot change your genders. You don’t have genders.”
Wriggle and Squirm were completely devastated. They had been so excited about the prospect of changing their lives and trying something new, but now they realized it was impossible.
Wriggle said, “Oh, this is just terrible. I feel so disappointed.”
Squirm added, “Me too. What are we going to do now?”
The wise snail chuckled, “You don’t need to change your gender to find excitement in life. Just embrace who you are and enjoy the journey.”
Wriggle and Squirm took the snail’s advice to heart and went on to live their lives as the wonderful worms they were. They realized that they didn’t need to change who they were to find happiness, and they lived happily ever after.
